This site was developed to provide guidence and information to Web
developers wishing to produce accessible web pages. The contents of
this site cover priorities one through three of the Web
Content Accessibility Guidelines for the State of Kansas.
The State of Kansas guidelines are based in part on the work of the
Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) of the World Wide Web Consortium
(W3C) and their Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0 (WCAG1.0).
Each item on the following lists has a priority level assigned based
on the item's impact on accessibility. Further, within each priority
level, the items are organized in terms of their ease of implementation.
Priority 1
Web developers must satisfy this item. Includes all
Section 508 Standards. Represents highest priority of accessibility
issues that must be addressed in Web page design.
Priority 2
Web developers must satisfy this item. Represents
more complex accessibility features that must be addressed in Web
page design.
Priority 3
Web developers may satisfy this item. Represent accessibility
features that offer the broadest level of accessibility to Web pages.
